This WEEKEND at Ticket King

I know everyone's looking for things to do since it's going to be chilly this weekend - so here's what we have going on down here at Ticket King!

Minnesota Sports Spectacular

It's a sports spectacular weekend down here at Ticket King St. Paul! Down here at Ticket King Saint Paul, hockey is always on our agenda. That being said, the release of the Gopher hockey schedule really gets us excited. The fans, the team spirit, the cute hockey boys...it's fantastic. And this weekend will be extra fantastic when the Gopher hockey roster takes on the Denver Pioneers at Mariucci for two games on Friday and Saturday evenings. It's not every day when you have a chance to check out two of the hottest college hockey teams face off in Minnesota - in fact, it's (potentially, depending on tournament play...)only one weekend a year! And since it's so early in the season, you can still get a good deal on Gopher hockey tickets! Golden Gopher Hockey Tickets

Ticket King St. Paul is extremely excited to ring in the start of Minnesota Golden Gophers hockey schedule, with the 2009-2010 home opener at Mariucci Arena on Sunday October 4th against the British Columbia Thunderbirds.

The Gophers hockey roster takes on the North Dakota Fighting Sioux on January 15 and 16th, 2010, and the Wisconsin Badgers on March 7th, 2010 at home in Mariucci Arena. Ticket King St. Paul has Gopher hockey tickets for the games against the Fighting Sioux and Wisconsin Badgers, with prices ranging from $145-$195 per ticket in sections 22 row 6, 24 row 3, 17 row 24 and 18 row 2, to name a few.

WCHA Madness

This week has been a jumble for Ticket King Saint Paul and Ticket King Minneapolis. I've been working between the two offices, and luckily Ticket Kristy has been able to come in and cover the St. Paul office while I've been gone. The NCAA tournament is a really big deal this year, and it happens to be coinciding with the WCHA tournament, which starts tonight at the Xcel Energy Center. Tonight's series has the Minnesota Golden Gophers facing off against the UMD Bulldogs. And we've sold out of Minnesota hockey tickets for tonight's game! This game determines whether or not our Gophers will be playing through the rest of the tournament this weekend, so Gopher fans are pretty hyped up to go to the game to support the team.

It's another busy week down here at Ticket King St. Paul, and we have quite a few sporting events on the docket for this week:

I Like It, I Love It

Since we've had a relatively slow couple of days as far as events actually happening this week, I thought I'd compile a list of what we're really looking forward to over the next month and a half down here at Ticket King St. Paul and Ticket King Minneapolis.

First and foremost, next Wednesday the Minnesota Wild schedule is released. This has got to be one of the highlights of my summer :)

The Minnesota Twins schedule matches them up with a division rival, the Chicago White Sox between July 28th and 31st. This is always a fun series to go to, especially as we head into the last third of the season. We have a good selection right now of Twins vs. White Sox tickets.

The Minnesota Vikings schedule kicks into high gear for the pre-season the beginning of August. Their first home game is Friday, August 8th at 7 PM where they'll be taking on the Seattle Seahawks. The second home pre-season game will be against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the 23rd of August, a Saturday, at 7 PM. My favorite baseball series (ok, sometimes, like this year, we're matched up more than once, but I don't know how you would spell the plural of series?) is when the New York Yankees come into town to take on our hometown boys. Twins vs. Yankees tickets are a hot item at any time of year, and since this series is right in the heat of baseball season (August 11 through August 13), make sure you get yours early!

The first home Minnesota Golden Gopher football game will be August 30th at the Metrodome - this is such a fun game to go to, if you have that evening open, keep it that way! Gophers vs. Huskies football tickets are available by phone or online through Ticket King.

The first home Minnesota Golden Gopher hockey game is October 10th. Still quite a ways away, but the early bird gets the worm on this one, Gopher hockey tickets ALWAYS sell out early.

A/C, Finally.

Well, all...Ticket King St. Paul FINALLY has some air conditioning! It's so much nicer to have cooler temps in here...especially with the ninety degree weather headed towards us on Friday. And it looks just as good as it feels in this office today! Since the construction is done, the office is finally cleaned up, so it's actually a workable space again, it's not like you're entering a danger zone by coming into Ticket King St. Paul anymore.

I had a W. 7th Street neighbor stop into our office yesterday in the morning wanting to know about our plans for the Republican National Convention that will be taking place at the Xcel Energy Center at the beginning of September. Just as a forewarning, Ticket King St. Paul will most likely not be open that week. Never say never, but it's going to be way too crazy down here for us to warrant being open. In which case I will be working out of our Minneapolis office, which is about two blocks from the Metrodome on the corner of Chicago and Washington, just in time for the start of the Gopher football season!

I love the first home Minnesota Golden Gopher football game. It's like the fall season has really started, and it's so neat to see the marching band line up outside the Metrodome getting everyone riled up for the game.
