It's that time of year in between school getting out and football season starting when the most fabulous sporting thing to do during the week is to catch a couple of baseball games. Whether it's catching an outdoor Saints baseball game, taking in a Minnesota Twins game at the Metrodome or flying out to Yankee Stadium for a weekend series, Ticket King St. Paul has you covered. TODAY, July 15th, the Saints are throwing a retirement party for baseball commissioner Bud Selig. TOMORROW, July 16th, you don't want to miss the crazy tailgating featuring the "A Monkey Can Do That...And We're Going To Prove It" bit - I'm not sure what all that means, but it's sure to be a fun time down at the best tailgating party in the Twin Cities! THURSDAY, July 17th is Noodles & Co. takeaway night....and it's the best night of hte year to donate school supplies at Midway Stadium for underpriviledged kids.

The Minnesota Twins have some super fun giveaways for this weeked - and all you have to do is purchase Minnesota Twins vs. Texas Rangers tickets for one of the games (and be one of the first 5,000 to 10,000 fans, of course).

FRIDAY, July 18th you could walkaway with a Twins "Dirt" Shirt if you're one of the first 5,000 people in the venue over the age of 18. Saturday, July 19th the first 10,000 patrons will receive a free Delmon Young bobblehead. SUNDAY, July 20th, the first 5,000 fans that are under the age of fourteen will receive a free Justin Morneau jersey. PLUS you get to see our future legends in action right after the All-Star Game!

A/C, Finally.

Well, all...Ticket King St. Paul FINALLY has some air conditioning! It's so much nicer to have cooler temps in here...especially with the ninety degree weather headed towards us on Friday. And it looks just as good as it feels in this office today! Since the construction is done, the office is finally cleaned up, so it's actually a workable space again, it's not like you're entering a danger zone by coming into Ticket King St. Paul anymore.

I had a W. 7th Street neighbor stop into our office yesterday in the morning wanting to know about our plans for the Republican National Convention that will be taking place at the Xcel Energy Center at the beginning of September. Just as a forewarning, Ticket King St. Paul will most likely not be open that week. Never say never, but it's going to be way too crazy down here for us to warrant being open. In which case I will be working out of our Minneapolis office, which is about two blocks from the Metrodome on the corner of Chicago and Washington, just in time for the start of the Gopher football season!

I love the first home Minnesota Golden Gopher football game. It's like the fall season has really started, and it's so neat to see the marching band line up outside the Metrodome getting everyone riled up for the game.
