Ticket Kristy in St. Paul

Hello to all of our Ticket King customers out there!

For the rest of the week, Ticket Cortney will be out of the office at a conference in New York, and Ticket Kristy will be working in the St. Paul office! Stop by to say hi or buy some Minnesota Wild tickets for one of next week's THREE home games from her!

Ticket King St Paul has a lot of Friends (some with fur)

Cortney is on vacation so Ticket Kristy (that’s me!) is holding down the fort. I thought I would take a minute to update everyone on the personal happenings of Ticket King St Paul this week.

Yesterday was a busy day here at Ticket King on West 7th Street. We had a lot of customers stop in to pick up tickets. I thought with the snow storm things would be slow, but I was wrong. The St Paul streets were cleared of snow by 9am and traffic was moving swiftly and parking was a breeze. I also had several customers stop in looking for holiday gifts for the sports fan in their life. I sold some Gophers Hockey tickets and Gophers Basketball Tickets (not St Paul events, I know, but we sell tickets to everything).

This morning, I also had to dispose of a furry mouse “friend” of Cortney’s. When I took out some trash from the basement, I noticed the mouse trap behind the bag had a dead furry critter firmly stuck to it. It was yucky, but I put on a brave face and a large plastic bag over my entire arm and carried the mouse to the garbage out back. I know Cortney will be happy to hear about all of this when she gets back!

p.s. The Ticket King St Paul fax drives me crazy – the fan is so loud and I have had to remove several paper jams.

Tuesday, October 21st: Rock Band Live at the Target Center and the New Kids on the Block at the Xcel Energy Center

Wednesday, October 22nd: (Pre-season) Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Chicago Bulls at the Target Center

Thursday, October 23rd: Minnesota Wild vs. Buffalo Sabres at the Xcel Energy Center and (Pre-season) Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Milwaukee Bucks at the Target Center and Frankie Valli at the Orpheum Theater

Friday, October 24th: Reba Mcentire and Kelly Clarkson at the Target Center

Saturday, October 25th: Minnesota Wild vs. Columbus Blue Jackets at the Xcel Energy Center and Cheech and Chong at the Orpheum Theater and Loretta Lynn at Mystic Lake

Sounds like a pretty full week! Keep in mind that the ticket queen, Cortney, is out of the office on Monday and Tuesday of this week, so stop in and say hi to Ticket Kristy, who will be filling in!

NATB Conference

Something that many people don't know is that Ticket King Minnesota is a member of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, or NATB. I think what people don't realize is that there actually is an official ticket broker association that helps to regulate and protect the industry. Every July, there is a big conference that brokers go to from all around the country - and I'll be there this weekend. So stop in to say hi to the Ticket King-ers that will be working at Ticket King St. Paul on Thursday and Friday in my absence, I'm sure they'd love to see you! Ticket Kristy will be down here for the Saturday Neil Diamond show, and I'll be back in time for the Sunday show. Speaking of which, Ticket King St. Paul has a few really great seats available that recently came in for these two shows with superstar performer Neil Diamond, so if you're still looking for Neil Diamond tickets, give us a call at 651-298-8100!

Ticket Cortney on Hiatus

Well, guys, I'll be on hiatus for a couple of days. I'm going up north for a long weekend, so next week Ticket Kristy will be taking my spot down at Ticket King St. Paul - if you're down on West 7th Street, stop in and say "hi" to her and our new sports intern, Kirby!

On a more interesting note, the famous broadway musical, Wicked, will be making it's way back to Minnesota next fall! It's the story of how Glenda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West came to be in the Wizard of Oz. My parents went last year when the show was here, and loved it. Wicked tickets are sure to sell out fast, so make sure you get yours early! (:side note: make sure you buy for the ORPHEUM SHOW in MINNEAPOLIS - it's playing around the country.)

In other news, we're starting to get quotes on installing A/C in the St. Paul Ticket King office, I am so excited - if we didn't get it installed, this building would be unbearable in the middle of the summer. For all of our customer who have seen the new Ticket King St. Paul office, it's absolutely beautiful, we have these gorgeous exposed brick walls, our front ticket counter has bars from an old bank from the 1900's, it's just a great office. But it gets SO hot in here, and the heat just stays in here! So I can't WAIT until we get the A/C installed.
