Cheap Wild vs. Hurricanes Tickets!

We have HOCKEY FEVER down here at Ticket King Saint Paul! Not only did the Minnesota Wild WIN at home last night, not only is the Gophers hockey roster taking on the Denver Poineers hockey roster on Friday and Saturday nights, but the Minnesota Wild schedule brings our boys home AGAIN on Saturday night when they'll be taking on the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night! And what's even better? There are quite a few cheap Wild tickets available for Saturday night's game! Minnesota Wild tickets for a Saturday night? Sounds like a great date night idea if we ever heard one! Throw in some dinner at the Downtowner or Eagle Street Grille and you're all set to impress that gal you've been looking to take out on the town!

Lunch in St. Paul

One of our favorite lunch spots down here at Ticket King St. Paul is the Eagle Street Grill. It's really close to the office (bonus) and they have good food to boot. Their soup in particular is super good. They have this super fabulous tomato soup with smoked Gouda cheese that is sooo good with a grilled cheese (sans bacon). And today's choice was awesome, too: chicken and wild rice. I love it. It's actually a great place to stop for dinner if you have Wild tickets to a game, because it's also the closest restaurant to the Xcel Energy Center. Check them out on your way to your next game :)

CNN Grill

For the Republican National Convention, CNN (the cable news station) rented out the Eagle Street Grill's prime location right across the street from the Xcel Energy Center (and four doors down from Ticket King St. Paul). They transformed the local eatery into their newsroom and a "new" restaurant, dubbed the CNN Grill, for the week of the event, complete with neon signs, window graphics and...napkins. I ordered lunch from Eagle Street last Friday, and they sent over my (fabulous) St. Paul Fever Salad with leftover napkins from the CNN invasion, which is actually pretty cool, and I thought I'd share with all of you!

Short Week

It's been a short week for me down here at Ticket King St. Paul - just yesterday and today. And yesterday was a little confusing. I kept thinking it was Tuesday. It's so nice down here at Ticket King St. Paul! We've had the door propped open for the last two days and it's really starting to smell like summer outside. Okay, that might be kind of weird to say. But summer really does have a scent here in Minnesota. And I can really tell that people are excited about the nice weather at Ticket King St. Paul - there are always people out on the patios/decks at the restaurants that surround Ticket King St. Paul, the Eagle Street Grill and The Liffey.
This beautiful weather is making me want to drive around in my car with the music turned up. So we are jamming out to Rascal Flatts in the Ticket King St. Paul office today :) So I thought everyone else should have a little more Rascal Flatts in their life, too. Here's one of their music videos from youtube:

Oh, and I'm really excited because we just found out that Coldplay is going to be adding the Xcel Energy Center to the Coldplay schedule this summer! We'll have tickets on the Ticket King St. Paul website as soon as they're available!

Minnesota Wild Home Game One

The Minnesota Wild played last night at the Xcel Energy Center, and it was unbelievably crazy down here around Ticket King St. Paul. There were so many Minnesota Wild fans with their gear on, and lots of people with their faces painted in the traditional red, green and white of the Minnesota Wild! I even saw some people with Stanley Cup hats, they were pretty funny and I would love to have one! So I didn't think there would be any giveaways at the Xcel for the game, but they did end up having playoff towels on the back of every seat, which were pretty fun to wave around! Plus they're having a special auction going on at the games where you can buy a miniature helmet signed by your favorite player to benefit the MSE giving fund. Molly and I had a blast at the game, despite the fact that they lost :(, and we sat in section 102 and ended up back at Eagle Street Grill after the game, which is always a fun time, though they were super packed! I wore my jersey all day, but didn't end up wearing it to the game. HOWEVER, if you're down by the Xcel Energy Center for the next couple of games, make sure you say hi if you see this jersey:

Yes, I had my own last name put on the back. I figured that I'll never be traded, so I can wear it for as long as I want. And that carpeting underneath my jersey? Why, that's one of the new rugs in our office! It's actually pretty cool, it's dyed completely with coloring made from vegetables. It kind of smelled when we first got it, but the coloring really complements the colors in the brick walls. Make sure you check it out on your next visit to Ticket King St. Paul! Oh, and if you're looking for tickets to the next couple of games, make sure you check out the new Ticket King St. Paul website for information!
