I'm Back, I'm Back!

Well, Ticket Cortney is back in action down here at Ticket King St. Paul. And I have super exciting news: our brand new air conditioner was dropped off today! It won't be installed until next week, but just the fact that it's actually IN the office is exciting. The lake was a blast, but I am definitely glad to be back to work in the office. I love going on vacation, but apparently the workaholic side of this ticket gal likes to work even more, haha. With all the catch up work from the past couple of days, I have the Kelly Clarkson song, Since You've Been Gone, stuck in my head!

Anyway, this weekend is the much-anticipated Minnesota Twins vs. Milwaukee Brewers series! Check out the Twins Brewers tickets on our site or give us a call at 651-298-8100 if you're looking for tickets to this weekend's series.

Lee Ann Womack tickets are still available for her concert tonight at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, too. We have a few John Hiatt tickets left for tomorrow's show at the Pantages, and Lucinda Williams tickets are still floating around for Monday's concert at the Minnesota Zoo Ampitheatre.

Have a great weekend!

Ticket Cortney on Hiatus

Well, guys, I'll be on hiatus for a couple of days. I'm going up north for a long weekend, so next week Ticket Kristy will be taking my spot down at Ticket King St. Paul - if you're down on West 7th Street, stop in and say "hi" to her and our new sports intern, Kirby!

On a more interesting note, the famous broadway musical, Wicked, will be making it's way back to Minnesota next fall! It's the story of how Glenda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West came to be in the Wizard of Oz. My parents went last year when the show was here, and loved it. Wicked tickets are sure to sell out fast, so make sure you get yours early! (:side note: make sure you buy for the ORPHEUM SHOW in MINNEAPOLIS - it's playing around the country.)

In other news, we're starting to get quotes on installing A/C in the St. Paul Ticket King office, I am so excited - if we didn't get it installed, this building would be unbearable in the middle of the summer. For all of our customer who have seen the new Ticket King St. Paul office, it's absolutely beautiful, we have these gorgeous exposed brick walls, our front ticket counter has bars from an old bank from the 1900's, it's just a great office. But it gets SO hot in here, and the heat just stays in here! So I can't WAIT until we get the A/C installed.

I'm hoping for some beautiful weather this weekend, see ya'll next week!

Ticket King St. Paul Testimonial

We received an email down here at Ticket King St. Paul today from someone who purchased Walking With Dinosaurs tickets to one of last weekend's shows from us, and I just thought I'd share:

"When I ordered my Walking With Dinosaurs tickets, I had the choice of picking
up my tickets one black away from the Xcel Energy Center at the St. Paul Ticket
King office. When I went to the St. Paul office to pick up my tickets, I was
greeted by a smiley young woman, who provided very good assistance. She haded me
my tickets and wished my kids a fun time at the Walking With Dinosaurs show. If
I order tickets again for anything at the Xcel Energy Center, I will definitely
be picking them up at the Ticket King St. Paul office."
See, guys! It really is easy to pick up your tickets at our office - no hassle, no waiting in lines, just show us an id, sign to say you picked them up and you're off to the event!

Week of June 16th at Ticket King St. Paul

It's a beautiful day down here at Ticket King St. Paul! And there's not a whole heck of a lot going on this week...just lots and lots of major and minor league baseball!

Not much else to report down here today. Although I am highly jealous of anyone who makes it to the pool on such a glorious day!

AC, Please!

Apparently we live in the dark ages down here at Ticket King St. Paul. Ok, maybe not the dark ages, but we don't have air conditioning. It's not too bad right now, as long as all the fans are going and the windows/door are open. But it will definitely not be very amusing if come August 1st, when it's a bazillion degrees outside and super humid, we still do not have a/c. Because then, my friends, you will find a frizzy-haired, non-sunshiney version of Ticket Cortney.

Well, now that that's out of the way, let's move onto more important topics...like the fact that Walking with Dinosaurs is this weekend and this weekend only. I cannot believe how incredibly popular this show is. There are so many adorable little kids walking around W. 7th Street today, I can't believe it.

Amos Lee is playing tomorrow night at the Minnesota Zoo Ampitheater. It's a great venue for concerts and I still have a couple of tickets available. If you're interested in going, shoot me an email or check out the site, or give us a call before 2 PM tomorrow (the Minneapolis Ticket King is open from 9-2).

For the past couple of weeks (and for the next couple of weeks), we have been/will be working on lots and lots of new content for the Ticket King St. Paul website. You'll have access to tons of information about your favorite teams, players, team match-ups, concerts, venues, everything. It's all very exciting, this new website for our St. Paul location. I'll start posting some direct links next week when we start loading the content onto the new site.

Have a great weekend!

Walking With Dinosaurs

This weekend is the highly anticipated Walking With Dinosaurs shows at the Xcel Energy Center! And we're super busy down here at Ticket King St. Paul selling Walking With Dinosaurs tickets, it's definitely been heating up since last week. What is this super hot show, you ask? Well, originally it was a television production by the BBC that utilized computer generated graphics and animatronic puppets that recreated the life of the Mesozoic era. The show received such high acclaim that it was turned into a live production, and is touring the world. It will consist of two parts, thirty-five minutes each, with a twenty minute intermission. Here are the show times for this weekend if you're looking to purchase Walking with Dinosaurs tickets:

Friday, June 13th: 1 PM
Friday, June 13th: 7 PM
Saturday, June 14th: 11 AM
Saturday, June 14th: 3 PM
Saturday, June 14th: 7 PM
Sunday, June 15th: 1 PM
Sunday, June 15th: 5 PM

These tickets are great graduation presents for the kids, or for Father's Day on Sunday! Give me a call or check out the website for more details!

Week of June 9th at Ticket King

Hey All!

It's the start of another fabulous week down here at Ticket King St. Paul, and here's a list of everything we have going on this week:

June 12th - June 15th: Walking With Dinosaurs tickets

June 14th: Amos Lee tickets

Also, if you're looking for a little road trip, the Minnesota Twins will be playing the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park this weekend! Miller Park is a ton of fun, they have a retractable roof, it's like a little taste of what the Minnesota Twins games will be like in the new stadium. Perfect for the multi-tasker who loves to tan and watch a good game of baseball at the same time :)

I also was recently informed that the Coldplay schedule has changed. The concert, originally scheduled to be at the Xcel Energy Center on July 8th, has been moved to November 14th. So now, instead of being at the beginning of the Coldplay tour, we'll be closer to the end.

If you're looking for tickets to any of these events, or have any questions, shoot me an email, leave a comment or give me a call at 651-298-8100. Have a great week!

I don't know how the past year has flown by so fast for us, but with two new offices opened in the twin cities, we have definitely been busy down here at Ticket King. So here's what the Minnesota Vikings schedule looks like, we definitely lucked out with the additions to the Minnesota Vikings roster and the good game schedule!

St. Paul Saints

Ticket King St. Paul is carrying a limited number of premium St. Paul Saints tickets for the current season. It was kind of on a whim that we decided to start carrying some inventory for the games, because we do generally get a few requests for really good seats to these games. I have never been to one of the games, but I guess they are a blast. And the tailgating can rival that of a good MLB game. Today I received a little postcard with the St. Paul Saints schedule for the next couple of weeks, which includes all of the special events they'll be having (the Saints are known for having fun events at every game). So here's the info, if you're interested in tickets check out our website or give me a call at 651-298-8100

Barack Obama

So. Tonight at the Xcel Energy Center, Barack Obama will be speaking. And it's anticipated that he's going to be receiving the concession statement from Hilary Clinton (who has, by the way, noted her interest in being Obama's running mate), and offiially take the Democratic bid for the presidency. Which means that it is absolutely crazy down here at Ticket King St. Paul. There's 1300 secret service agents ALONE running around on the street down here. Tons of military, and then another 30,000 estimated to be expected to try to get into the Xcel Energy Center tonight. The lines are down the street! I've seriously never, ever, EVER seen it so busy down here. It's like a mini-preview of what the RNC Convention will be like down here later this summer. Wow.

Monday, Monday

Well, for all of us Ticket King St. Paul-ers that went to Grand Old Day, Sunday was a good day. I ran into lots of people there, apparently it's the largest one day festival in the state - the crowds were estimated at over 250,000 people. That's so crazy! It was a beautiful day - 82 degrees, sunny.
Anyway, here's a listing of what's going on this week at Ticket King St. Paul:

Monday, June 2nd: Minnesota Twins vs. New York Yankees tickets
Tuesday, June 3rd - June 5th: Minnesota Twins vs. Baltimore Orioles tickets
Thursday, June 5th: R.E.M. tickets
Friday, June 6th - June 8th: St. Paul Saints vs. Wichita Wingnuts
There's a whole lotta baseball this week, so if you haven't been to any games yet this season, definitely check one out!
